Gifts for the New Year can be very different. But if in the process of making them with your own hands you manage to combine your own creative inspiration with the interests and desires of the person being gifted, the New Year's surprise turns out to be especially touching and memorable. The work of the next participant of the competition "Carnival in KARTONKINO" Olga Kiseleva exactly from this category. And the very idea of \u200b\u200bgift wrapping for tea bags, made in the form of a teapot, is sure to come in handy for many.

Teapot made of cardboard

My name is Olga Kiseleva. I live in a small Siberian town located in the south of the Novosibirsk region. I have been engaged in various types of needlework since childhood. I knit, sew a little, make postcards, arrange photo albums. I make toys in various ways. In many of my works, paper and cardboard are basic or basic materials.

Now, like all craftswomen, I am preparing for the New Year and making gifts for my family and friends. I have a friend, Nadia. She loves to drink tea, and therefore I often give it to her. I pack the tea in a box, and put the box in a beautiful paper bag. This year I decided to change the tradition and make my own tea bag packaging in the form of a teapot.

To make it, you need the following materials:

- cardboard box;

- colored paper or scrap paper;

- satin ribbon or braid;

- twine or yarn;

- paper glue;

- glue "Moment Crystal";

- scissors;

- decoration elements;

- delicious tea bags.

Draw the outline of the teapot on a piece of paper. The base must be straight. Then we draw a rectangle, the length of which is equal to the length of the base of the teapot, and 2 rectangles on the sides, with a length equal to the height of the tea bag minus 1 cm, 5 cm wide (the width can be changed).

Cut out the resulting templates and transfer them to corrugated cardboard. Cut out 2 parts using a teapot-shaped template.

Cut the rectangular part in one copy. Along the fold lines, cut the top layer of cardboard with a blade (or a clerical knife) so that it bends easily and does not break.

We glue all the cardboard parts with colored paper on both sides. We glue the end part of the teapot with twine or a cord knitted from yarn.

We bend the rectangular piece and alternately glue the side parts of our kettle to it with Moment glue. Squeeze the craft with your hands until the glue dries.

We glue the lower part of the craft with tape or braid (it will serve both for additional fastening of parts, as well as for decorating the product).

Here is a nest for tea bags.

Trying on. The bags come in freely and are easy to take out.

We decorate the teapot. For this I used leaves, flowers and a berry cut from felt. And she glued a ladybug on one piece of paper.

Here is a teapot made of cardboard I will give my friend for the New Year. And together with her we will drink tea with strawberry jam.

Once my friends came to visit me. I decided to treat them to tea. It turned out that one loves black, the second - green, and the third prefers herbal preparations. There are different types of tea in my household supplies, I keep them especially for such occasions. But there was a small problem. The fact is that the table setting spoils from the type of boxes and jars with different fillings. Then I got the idea to make a beautiful stand for tea bags. It can accommodate various types of products for every taste.

For work, I used the following materials:
- an image of a teapot and a cup;
- Paris-themed wrapping paper;
- 3 sheets of cardboard;
- glue stick;
- scissors;
- glue gun;
- pen;
- stripes for quilling;
- openwork flowers of white and pink shades.
First, I prepared the stencils. On a sheet of white cardboard I drew a teapot with a lid and a miniature cup. I cut out their silhouettes, and I got two stencils for subsequent work.

Then I picked up a discreet shade of brown paper with a romantic image of Provence. I chose this color because I have a light pink tea set with delicate flowers.

I pasted over 2 sheets of cardboard with wrapping paper using a regular glue stick. This indispensable tool allows you to quickly and evenly adhere thin wrapping paper to heavy cardboard.
On the white side of the cardboard I stenciled 4 images of a teapot and 4 images of a cup.

After that I cut out all 4 teapots and glued 2 symmetrical parts together. This is necessary not only so that the structure is more stable, but also so that the pattern is obtained on both sides.

I did the same manipulations with the details of the cups.

Then I prepared rectangles that will become the side walls and the bottom of the dishes.
A teapot needs 3 pieces of 7 x 6 cm, and for a cup 2 pieces of 5 x 2.5 cm (side walls) and 1 piece of 3 x 2.5 cm (bottom).
I made cuts on paired blanks, along which the parts will be attached to the side walls.

Now it remains only to collect all the blanks.
For this I used a glue gun. With his help, she connected all the parts of the cup, and the result was such an interesting craft. I will give advice to those who want to do something similar: try to glue the side parts symmetrically.

And this is a kind of teapot.

The last stage is the products. From stripes for quilling, I formed different openwork flowers.

Flowers of a red hue fit perfectly. I glued them one at a time to the sides of the teapot and cups. She also used white and pink openwork flowers.

I glued the cup to the center of the teapot.

She looks just amazing. I lay out different packages of tea, coffee, and my friends choose a drink according to their preference. Thanks to this idea, table setting during tea drinking is always neat and refined. I am quite happy with my work.
By the way, a napkin holder can be made using the same principle.

Most of us have our own favorite and "lured" tea rituals - even if you drink tea, not really thinking about what you pour into a cup and what you chew for company, you still have rules that you never break. Maybe it is about choosing a cup? Always - only a strict straight shape, in no way tapering at the bottom and not wild options such as a cup-heart or cup-duck. Or maybe your ritual is a sip of hot, scalding tea, which decisively pours out if it has time to cool? Someone eats a bit of refined sugar, someone is interested in the type of tea. Some prefer teapots, others cast their vote for tea bags. By the way, about the latter: everyone who has drunk tea brewed in a tea bag at least once knows: this indisputably convenient contraption strives to slip away! Catching it out of a cup is a dubious pleasure, and for such cases, someone quick-witted and quick-witted has already come up with something that you can do with your own hands.

Well, of course, a team of skeptics can immediately declare that the idea is not bad, but why are they needed, these homemade tea bag holdersif you can just use a regular teaspoon. And we will not argue, no, no! It's easier to give each skeptic a spoonful, and then sit next to some cool holder, unusual and uplifting, and enjoy without imposing your opinion, vision and attitude on anyone. You do not need to waste time on needlework, which results in things that are not included in the list of necessary for everyday life. You can only knit socks and scarves, cook porridge and cutlets, sew dresses and pants. Or you can push the boundaries of what is necessary and decide that life without a stupid and almost meaningless hat for a boiled egg is not interesting and sad, Sunday morning without a piece of homemade blueberry pie is colorless and dull, a kitchen without a self-made linen bag for storing bread is impossible and non-functional! And knit! And cook! And sew! Something that brings not so much benefit as emotion.

Here are the tea bag holders ... Of course, this is not an essential thing. But how sweet, funny and funny she is! And how pleasant it is in this amusement and charm! You can still wrap the string of the tea bag around the cup handle, you can fix it with a spoon or just hold it with your hands, this is not a problem. But .... but you can do more - take the time and make your own tea bag holders! To make and enjoy - from tea drinking, from the present moment, from life!

Let there be many pleasant trifles in your life!

Next, we prepare our napkins. To do this, carefully remove the lower layers of the napkin, depending on which they are one or two layers, leave the colored side to work. We grease the finished workpieces with PVA glue and carefully apply a napkin, tear off the excess. Can the inside teapot decorate with one pattern, the outer one with another. It turns out very nicely on contrast. We let each side dry separately to do the work faster, I dry each side with a hairdryer.

We decorate each half with a decorative cord, glue it with a glue gun for strength

and "collect" kettle

cover with acrylic varnish
